Plas Hafan Seaview Apartment – Covid-19 information and requirements

Dear Guests,

Whether you are considering your first visit to Plas Hafan Seaview Apartment or you are one of our regular visitors, please find below some information on how your holiday home has been prepared should you choose to stay with us. Hopefully, the changes we have introduced, including enhanced cleaning protocols, will assure you that everything possible has been done to make your stay safe and comfortable. We hope you have a very enjoyable stay..

1. As the apartment is entered via a communal hallway and stairwell, we advise guests to wear a face covering in these areas and to use the hand sanitiser provided before entering the apartment. We also advise that you bring your own supply of hand gel for use during your visit.
2. Unfortunately, we can no longer provide a meet and greet service so all guests will need to pick up the keys from the key safe located in the porch. The keys and the safe will be disinfected prior to your visit.
3. For your safety, the apartment will be cleaned and left vacant 72 hours before your arrival. This means that we are unable to provide our usual complementary welcome pack of fresh produce but we will provide a basket of provisions including small packs of cereals, biscuits, sachets of tea, coffee, sugar, a few preserves and a bottle of wine.
4. We will also provide some cleaning materials for you to use during your stay. This will include a bottle of hand sanitiser, anti-bacterial surface cleaner, washing-up liquid, multi-purpose cleaner, a small number of dishwasher and laundry tablets, sponge, cloth, washing-up brush, bin bags (for refuse and laundry) and hand wash / soap.
5. For stays over 7 days, we are currently unable to provide an interim clean.
6. As a result of the coronavirus pandemic, our housekeepers have introduced a new enhanced cleaning regime. In addition to their usual cleaning routine they now perform the following Hygiene Intensive Cleaning Protocols:-

a) All hard surfaces are cleaned using domestic cleaning products as per usual, they are then cleaned a second time using anti-viral/bacterial cleaners.
b) High touch areas such as door/drawer/cupboard handles, light switches, sockets, bannisters, taps, remote controls etc. are individually disinfected using anti-viral/bacterial cleaners. Cushions in the lounge will be rotated.

7. There is also a checklist of requirements that we need you to follow in order to help keep yourself and, on your departure, the housekeepers, safe.

On Arrival:- Re-wash all crockery, cutlery, and kitchen utensils before use in hot soapy water, or with the dishwasher (if applicable).

Before Departure:-

- All used beds MUST be stripped (including the mattress and pillow protectors).
- All linens and protectors must be double bagged using the supplied black bin bags and securely tied.
- All used towels, and bathmats must also be double bagged in black bin bags and again securely tied.
- Please load the dishwasher fully and start the cycle with whichever items you have been using over the course of the week.
- All bins MUST be emptied, and all bin bags securely tied and deposited in the appropriate outside bins which are located at the rear of the property.

8. You may notice that we have also had to remove some of our usual items from the apartment including books, DVDs, pens, pencils, games, binoculars, brochures and extra crockery and cutlery items. We have left the information booklet & instruction manual on the bookshelf. Please feel free to refer to these if you need to bearing in mind no guests will have stayed in the apartment for a full 7 days prior to your visit.

9. We hope these precautions will mean that you have a safe and enjoyable stay at Plas Hafan Seaview Apartment. However, if any guests display symptoms of COVID-19 whilst staying at Plas Hafan you MUST:-

- contact the owners immediately (Tel 07791 422945 or 07989 100646)
- immediately self-isolate where you are to minimise any risk of transmission
- request a test (this can be done by calling the free number 119 between the hours of 7am to 11pm)
- If COVID-19, please return home if you reasonably can. You should use private transport but only drive yourselves if you can do so safely. If you cannot reasonably return home (for example because you are not well enough to travel or do not have the means to arrange transport), your circumstances should be discussed with an appropriate health care professional and, if necessary, the local authority.
- You must follow government guidance on dealing with possible or confirmed coronavirus (COVID-19) infection. Once you (and if appropriate your family) has finished the required self-isolation period and is no longer symptomatic, you should return to your main residence and continue to follow the government guidance on self-isolation, household isolation and social distancing.

10. If any guest with COVID-19 cannot return home and has to stay in Plas Hafan Seaview Apartment after the arranged departure date, we will unfortunately have to charge guests to cover the costs of the extended stay.

11. Finally, we ask you to read the leaflet Ceridigion County Council have provided (copy sent when booking) which has been prepared to advise visitors how to keep themselves safe and protect the health and wellbeing of the communities they are visiting. Also please follow the latest government guidelines in terms of meeting other households in the apartment.
